There are four key elements that make the
Armadillo protective system so effective:
Energy Dissipation –
Armadillo armour is extremely effective in the diffusion of
impact energy. Armadillo armour comprises of a series of overlapping
plates that dissipate impacts by colliding with each other
in very quick succession. The result is the force of impacts
are distributed evenly throughout the entire structure of
the outer shell and subsequently nearly all the harmful force
of impact is diffused before it reaches the body.
Absorption – Any remaining
impact force is neutralised further by an inner layer of memory
foam that lies immediately underneath the protective outer
shell. This cushioning provides an additional diffusion zone
between the skin and the outer layer of armour.
Movement – Armadillo
armour is fully moveable and flexible because it is made up
of individual plates that are interconnected by internal ligaments.
This assembly enables complete freedom of movement throughout
the whole structure ensuring that all moving body parts are
protected without restriction. The armour adheres to the contours,
shape and size of the individual and provides a unique fit
for maximum comfort.
Detachability – Armadillo
armour is affixed to the carrier or sleeve using sections
of Velcro that hold it firmly in place during use. Afterwards
the outer shell can be removed from the supporting garment
enabling the wearer to wash the unit separately. This detachable
feature also means that the wearer can customise the product
by selecting various grades, thickness and colours of armour
to suit individual preferences or requirements.

Great buggying
pads! Ian Solomon
I have been after a set of elbow pads that I can use for buggying
for such a long time! All of the ones I have tried until now
were very restrictive on the inner elbow especially when riding
in the buggy and flying with handles.
The Armadillo Elbow Guards however are nice
and light with no foam on the inner elbow section which allow
me to use them without restricting my flying.
I have come out a few times and they have
absorbed the impact really well with no bruising after-effects!
Well done Armadillo and Powerkiteshop - this is a great product!
