Description
The Airtime FIX KIT valve is a standard U-STICK
valve with an oversized base designed to replace faulty
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) valves.
The
3 inch diameter
base allows you to easily span almost any hole left after
removing a faulty valve. A quick simple solution to fix
what used to be a fatal problem.
In recent years most major kite brands
have had valve failure on some level. Usually these failures
consist of a valve that slowly peels off the bladder. You'll
be happy to know that all Airtime bladders are manufactured
in their own facility in the United States. Airtime can
count with one hand the number of valves that have given
them trouble
since 2000.
Option
OEM Valve:
The FIX KIT OPTION valve works with the Slingshot one-pump
system and Flexifoil's system. This FIX KIT comes with
only the straight connector and is not designed to fix
faulty 2-pump valves. North 2-pump
struts that have faulty T-valves must be replaced with
a new bladder and valves.
9mm
Inflation OEM Valve:
The 9mm inflation valve is the most common valve used on
kites. As a FIX KIT valve this has the 3 inch adhesive base
designed to replace faulty OEM valves. All 9mm inflation
valves have the one way check flap, however, instructions
in the packaging explain how to easily remove the check flap
before adhering it to a bladder if you don't wish to use
it.
11mm
Deflation OEM Valve:
The most common deflate valve around. Do
not use this valve as the only inflate valve on a bladder
because you can only
close the plug when the kite is deflated. As a FIX KIT valve
this has the 3 inch adhesive base designed to replace faulty
OEM valves.
Carry them with every ride.
*Please note these valves
can only be used with OEM Bladders.

A
little gem! Pete Jones >>
This item is a little gem! I had a split
inflation valve on a North Vegas, which I hadn't replaced
due to the cost
of the full bladder.
I came across this, and thought I had
to give it a try, as it would save me a great deal of cash.
The valve comes with full instructions on
how to remove the old valve,
how to clean
before
attaching, and how to attach the new valve afterwards.
It was all very easy, and I did it without
even taking the whole
bladder out of the Leading Edge.
I pumped up the
fixed kite afterwards, left it for a few hours,
and was confident
the
fix was a good one - the kite lost no pressure
at all.
I'm really pleased with this, its a fraction
of the
cost of a
new bladder, and I wish I'd heard about
it before!
