All bladders used with the U-STICK bladder system are provided without valves. You choose the bladder by length and then choose the valves to match your kite's set up. You then attach the valves you want where you want by simply "peeling and sticking".

 

Lighter Kite:
Airtime ORANGE bladders are between 35%-50% lighter than stock bladders. Reduce the weight of the average 14m, 7 strut bow kite, by almost an entire pound (454 grams).

 

The leading edge bladder blanks are made of a single piece of high quality american made poly folded in half and welded on one side only. All bladders are oversized in diameter so that they never fully expand inside the sewn sleeve of the kite. This eliminates any need for the bladder to stretch allowing for longer life.

 

All bladder blanks are pre-talced on the inside to aid in installation and simplify their use.

 

Stronger Kite:
Airtime ORANGE bladders were designed to be strong. Airtime redesigned the very material that bladders are made from to make them resistant to damage from twists, improper installs, and unsupported bladder ends. Faster Kite:

Take weight off your kite and your bound to feel a difference. The material is not only about half the weight of traditional bladder material, but is much stiffer. Installing these bladders into your existing kite, not only makes it become much lighter, but the tubes also become much stiffer and no longer require as much air pressure to achieve the rigidity required by most modern kites. Put in simply - it makes your kite faster through the air!

How to measure:
Leading edge bladders are measured from tip to tip as illustrated above. If your leading edge bladder has been removed from the kite you can measure the original bladder from tip to tip. If you don't have the original bladder or the bladder is still in the kite, you'll can measure the kite. Follow the instructions below that apply to your kite's set up.

 

 

Wrap around leading edge bladder:
Open the ends of the bladder sleeve. Measure the leading edge/wingtip sleeve from end to end. Measure around the outside of the arc formed by your leading edge, be sure that the measuring tape runs around the outside of the elbows where your leading edge turns onto the wingtip.

 

Choose a leading edge bladder that measures the same length or longer than the measurement that you came up with. If you are at all unsure of your measurement, round up to the next size offered. An oversized bladder works, an undersized bladder will not work.

 

 

Leading edge bladder with separate wingtips:
Open the ends of the bladder sleeve. Measure the leading edge sleeve from end to end. Measure around the outside of the arc formed by your leading edge.

 

Choose a leading edge bladder that measures the same length or longer than the measurement that you came up with. If you are at all unsure of your measurement, round up to the next size offered. An oversized bladder works, an undersized bladder will not work.

Preaching oversized:
Remember that you can always use an oversized bladder in a smaller application. When traveling we recommend taking a leading edge bladder that is long enough to fit your largest kite. Should you need to use the bladder in a smaller kite you can invert the bladder ends back inside the bladder until it is the desired length. Inverting up to 8 feet at each end is perfectly reasonable if you don't have access to a bladder that is the correct length.
