Description

With its name inspired from the New Zealand War Dance, the Haka is Ozone’s high performance fixed bridle kite designed for huge jumps and full on freestyle action on your buggy or mountainboard.

 

With the high aspect ratio and extremely thin cross section the Haka turns and moves through the air at warp speed allowing for huge power delivery when you need it.

 

The number of cells on the kite plays a major part of its performance and the Haka has massive 28 cells on the 7m and 9m versions.

 

With design inspiration taken from the race winning legendary Yakuza, the Haka is for the experienced kite flyer looking to reap the maximum from the sport and take the level of riding to the next stage.

 

Advanced D rib construction has been used on the Haka to reduce drag from the bridles; this is done by adding internal strength to the kite enabling less bridle to be used for support.

 

The bridle system has also been radically designed to enable a fast turn from the front lines only, allowing the rider to use less hand movement and ride one handed while still being able to turn the kite hard.

 

The brake line bridle has also been reduced to a minimum to save on drag and has been designed to stall the kite out of the sky quickly and safely.

 

Ultra high spec fabric, the same that is used on the Frenzy and Manta, has been used to make the Haka, together with 300kg/200kg line set coming as standard with the kite this is a seriously tough flying machine!

 

The end result is a very aggressive kite with a huge power delivery when the kite is moving but with sweet control feel and ease of use.

 

The HAKA is suitable for the experienced kiter wanting a fixed bridle foil kite that has ‘full on power’ with direct handling and fast turning speed for freestyle.

4-Line Handles

Ozone 4-Line Handles - Ergonomic, styled and comfy, Ozone kite handles are built from hi-tech, lightweight polypropylene tubing. 25mm in diameter and covered in a layer of neoprene for extra comfort these handles have been specifically designed to prevent forearm fatigue.

 

Extra features include soft plastic sheathing on the lead line exit to prevent line or finger chaffing during heavy use.

 

Additional ground 'staking loops' allow the pilot to keep the kite stalled when not being flown.

 

Handles are now complete with a spectra stitched strop line as standard.

Great Lifting Kite! David Hewitt

I have tried a few other lifting kites but this one I knew was for me! It's easy to use and controllable. It handles the gusts well and when you go for a jump - it's more of a controlled lift as opposed to a violent take-off. You still go up high but without the scary launch.

Quality is excellent on both the kite, lines and handles which is what you need when you are flying through the air!
