Description
Mystic Kiteboarding design wetsuits specifically
for kitesurfers. Compromise and multi-use constraints are
not an issue, their wetsuits are designed for kitesurfers
by kitesurfers that incorporate features other wetsuit designers
wouldn't think of.
What we're looking for is a wetsuit that is designed to withstand
the toughest of conditions that our sport can throw at us,
yet have that in-built flexibility which allows us as a rider
to perform the way we want to play! They even look good too!
Materials:
- Flex Cell
Neoprene Foam - A developed neoprene with
all the characteristics you need to battle your local elements.
It’s a closed cell neoprene, flexible like seaweed,
strong as a great white, smooth as a fin cutting through
the water and above that lightweight as spray mingled with
air (that means
25% off).
- Flame Glide
Skin - This material is based on a closed
cell neoprene with heat reflective titanium between the
cells and the lining. The lining itself is hydrophobic and
is able to stretch in all directions. This leads to a technical
packed full topped neoprene sandwich.
- TRI Span
- This lining has multiple advantages. Most noticeable is
the stretch capability. For example a 3mm TRI Span arm panel
can easily stretch up to twice its original length. Furthermore
the lining is made more durable by cross weaving, is therefore
able to stretch evenly in all directions and feels soft
on the skin.
- SkyFlex Neoprene
- A top of the bill material still rules in our suits. This
lightweight closed cell neoprene has extreme flexible lining.
- Durable water repellent finish
- Air Span
- A neoprene that combines
extra stretch and durability. Base on a closed cell neoprene
AIR Span is warm, flexible and it lasts.
- Airprene
perforated cell - Airprene is perforated
neoprene with Flexible lining on both sides. Small perforations
in the neoprene make it possible to drain picked up water.
Construction:
- Glued and
Blind Stitched - Before the pieces are stitched
together, they are 2 or 3 times glued. To prevent leaking
stitching holes, this stitching method penetrates only half
of the neoprene thickness. This ensures a flat and waterproof
seam.
- New panel
layout
- Reduced panel
construction
- Kinetic seam positioning
- Essential seams are positioned sideways of joints such
as the knees and elbows. Therefore there is less tension
on the seams when flexing or extending the extremities.
Positioned seams make the suit more
flexible and adds comfort and durability.
- Less seam
connections
- Taped seam connections
- An extra neoprene patch on top of inside seam connections.
It reinforces the connection, improves durability and makes
the suit more waterproof. All inside seam connections we
put a piece of tape in order to reinforce the strength of
the seams.
- Curved seam ends
- Glued stitching ends
- Seamless knee construction
Features:
- Sandwich
neck closure -
The construction of this collar covers all velcro completely
with neoprene. However you twist or bend over your head
it will always feel soft and comfortable. This neck closure
will always feel soft and comfortable.
- Zipper Stop
- Blind Zip
- YKK Metal
Zipper Puller
- Asymmetrical
Back-Up - This is
an extra neoprene layer behind the zipper with collar. If
water penetrates the suit the back up will guide it out
through the water
relieve hole.
- Metalite
Wrist Cuffs - The 2mm. parabolic shaped
wrist cuffs prevent water entry.
- Water Outlet
- If water penetrates the zipper - the backup system guides
it straight out of the suit through the water relieve hole.
- Key Pocket
- 3D Composite
Kneepads
- A highly durable and flexible thin knee surface.
- Shin Protection
- Aquaflush
Leg Panel
- To let out picket up water,
we’ve added a water permeable Airprene legpanel on
the inside of the lower leg.
- Separate Velcro
Leg Straps
- 5mm - Body / 3mm
Arm/Legs
What is a steamer
wetsuit ?
A 'Steamer' is a wetsuit with sealed seams, usually achieved
by blind stitching. This stops the majority of cold water
from re-entering the suit once your body has initially heated
it up. Winter wetsuits are steamers with a 5mm body and legs
for warmth and 3mm arms for manoeuvrability.
