The Peter Lynn Hornet has a grunty feel, with improved stability and ground handling. User friendliness is one of Peter Lynns main focus points when designing a kite, therefore a lot of effort has gone into making the Peter Lynn Hornet easy to set up and just fly!

 

The overall profile design also makes the Peter Lynn Hornet penetrate the wind window even further making the Hornet easy to handle without losing stability and an excellent choice for entry-level to intermediate kite flyers.

 

This kite is so easy to fly and it is very easy to get going in a buggy, on a landboard or just flying around at the beach. This Peter Lynn Hornet kite has a great pull per square metre for its size and has got a constant power delivery for its size all along the wind window.

 

Fast - Easy - Setup:
The Hornets flying line and new 4-line Peter Lynn handles (colour coded and foam padded to ensure a soft comfortable grip) are numbered at each end with the corresponding number on the correct pigtail on the kite. This means you'll never connect the wrong flying line to the wrong part of the kite or handle, making it easy to set up your new Peter Lynn Hornet and start having fun straight away!

 

Peter Lynn Hornet Wrist Leash Safety System:
New easy to recognize left and right kite killers ensures a trouble-free flying expereince knowing you always have the handles in the correct hand and if you get into difficulty releasing the handles means the Peter Lynn Hornet floats gently to the ground, waiting until you’re ready to go again!

 

Material & Graphics:

Constructed using water repellent Mirai fabric, for the top and bottom skins means you can fly knowing the Peter Lynn Hornet is protected against the elements (including UV) prolonging its life. Graphics on the top and bottom skins means it looks excellent too!

 

Dyneema Flying Lines & Bridle:

New 2008 Peter Lynn colour coded Dyneema flying lines are reinforced with stitched sleeving. All coloured bridles lines are stitched to reduce drag, which ensures your kite always maintains its shape and also prevents tangles when flying.

 

Reinforcements:

Reinforced leading and trailing edges, along with the use of heavy duty material on the ribs, makes sure the Peter Lynn Hornet is strong and robust enough to withstand hard ground impacts! Double sewn bottom skin and back-tacked bridle tabs ensure extra durability and strength, making certain the kite is reinforced where it's needed.

 

Profile & Aspect Ratio:

The D-ribbed centre section of the Hornet increases the smooth, clean shape of the canopy to optimise speed and eliminate distorting without the use of extra bridles. Each size of the Hornet has been specifically designed to keep the same flying feeling and characteristics throughout the entire range.

 

Velcro Loops & Dirt / Sand Outlets:

The Hornet's Velcro loops makes sure you can easily pack away your kite without the chance of bridles getting tangled. The Velcro outlets at either end of the kite also ensure you can remove any sand or dirt from inside the kite with ease.

Stunning and Great for the Price! Emma Bloor!

 

The newest kite to my collection is the newest kite to the Peter Lynn range. The Peter Lynn Hornet. The Peter Lynn Hornet has a similar grunty feel to the Peter Lynn Pepper II and is in the beginners kite range to intermediate (with bigger sizes 5m plus), with improved stability and ground handling.

 

I currently own a Flexifoil Strike 5m, Flexifoil Blade III 3m and a Flexifoil Stacker 6. I have been flying for around 4 years give or take a year due to illness. I have been wanting to try out flying a different branded kite from the flexifoil range due to flexifoil being one of the most well branded makes in the powerkiting industry.

 

I decided that i wanted to purchase a kite to landboard on that was slightly more predictable than the Flexifoil Blade III for a beginner, so I decided on a 4.0m Peter Lynn Hornet to do the trick bearing in mind that im about 14 stone, the Peter Lynn 4.0m seemed the ideal choice!

 

The complete package packed away in its bag is very lightweight, and easy to carry. The rucksack is of a new design and is big, i mean big. Easily fits the Peter Lynn Hornet with lines and handles in with ample room to put in a packed lunch, a few beers, knee pads, and elbow pads. There are also straps of elastic that has allowed me to attatched my harness and helmet to the outside.

 

Bearing in mind I only recieved the kite today, the kite couldnt have been easier to setup. The whole set is colour coded, numbered 1,2,3 etc of the connections needed to be made. 1 goes to 1, etc The Peter Lynn Hornet is user friendly and this feature must have been the designers main aim when building this kite.

 

The Peter Lynn Hornet delivers a smooth and stable flight that is really predictable in comparrison to my other kites, however this is exactly what I wanted in order to be able to learn to landboard and buggy.

 

This kite is really obedient and gives you ample time at the edge of the window until you give it a new command to move it. The build quality of the Peter Lynn Hornet is stunning and greater than I expected for the price Ii have paid for this kite. Kitelandboarding need not be expensive. A small price tag on such a good kite is unbelievable. Just what I've wanted!!! This kite has no bad points so far. Excellent choice for entry-level to intermediate kite flyers.

My first power kite, before that a big fan of stunt kites.

 

I bought a 3m one to learn control and the Peter Lynn Hornet is an amazing kite to do so. It has a very stable pull with stability on the edges of the window.

 

Lines come pre-stretched and no feeling of "jelly-fishing" was observed. I tested kite in winds 2-6bft in both: stable seaside winds and in-land winds.

 

The Peter Lynn Hornet is good to learn control in weak winds and to learn how to control power in stronger winds. Despite my beginner's skills, after 2 months the kite still looks and flies as it was a brand new one.

The kite was a joy to fly and was totally controlable and predictable. The kite was exceedingly well made and inspired total confidence.

 

I would have no problem in recommending this kite to a powerkite newbie as it is easy to set up, easy to use and very good value for money.
