Performance Freestyle / Freeride:

The Cabrinha Imperial continues to be the choice of riders who want to excel in all styles of riding. Since the Imperial lends itself to high speed riding through rough or choppy waters, we’ve added a concave bottom shape to help you get up to speed quicker. To handle the speeds even better, we’ve changed the outline slightly to increase the edge response and tracking. This has all been done while maintaining the forgiving feel and easy ride that it is well known for.

 

The new improved construction now implements hard glass to increase strength and deliver a better flex pattern. The PVC core is precision milled and all materials are strategically placed to deliver the optimum weight, flex and rebound.

 

Cabrinha have designed an entirely new component set to lower the weight and to raise the finish standard even higher. Cabrinha's new 3D moulded foot pad fits like a well worn shoe. The dual density EVA will cradle your foot from side to side and protect it from the impact of hard landings. The widebody adjustable foot strap is extremely simple to attach and easy to adjust to a perfect fit.

PVC Core:
Super light, tough, low density foam core. The basic advantage of this material is its light-weight and ease of milling a precise core shape; producing a consistent result every time.

Average density: 75kg/m3

 

Quadrax Fibreglass Laminate:
A four axis weave of fibreglass that is extremely strong and light resulting in a very lively feel and response.

 

Hardglass:
A pre-laminated fibreglass thats pre-tensioned and cured under pressure. We apply this to the board in strategic locations to increase strength with a minimal increase to the weight.

 

Top and Bottom Sheet:
A lightweight and tough material. UV and scratch resistance properties make it perfect for Kiteboard production.

 

ABS Rails:
The ABS sidewall is laminated to the core during the lay-up process. It's designed to increase the strength while ensuring a smooth, durable and consistent ride.

 

Core Profile:
All of Cabrinha's core are produced with CNC milling. This means that every core is true to their design. Flex, profile and manufacturing consistency are all exact every time.

 

Flex Pattern (True Twin Flex):
A symetric pattern provides and identical flex, forward or switch, ideal for all types of riding conditions.

 

Mounting System (Stainless Steel Inserts):
Based on the industry standard 6 inch (15.24cm) pattern. Cabrinha's stainless steel inserts are custom made to eliminate pull out and spinning. Cabrinha's inserts are all 1/4-20 thread and sized to properly fit the core profiles. They are inserted from the bottom of the core, glued and are in for good.

Arrangement / Layup (Laminate):
Each board has its own unique layup. Cabrinha have tested many different laminates to produce the best combination of strength and weight. The Cores are profiled to dial in the specific flex for a design. Then the laminate is applied to support the flex and increase strength.

 

Stance Options:
The stance options provided are design specific based on the rider size and style. The Cabrinha Imperial 08 features a 13/15 footstrap stance to suit the smaller target rider.

 

The Cabrinha Imperial also comes standard with 4 high quality glass fins and grab handle.

Rocker: The rocker is a key element in the overall feel and performance of your board.
Custom Bottom Shape: Design specific bottom contours are added based on the boards performance demands. The Single concave on the Imperial 08 increases tracking and smoothes out the ride in the chop.
ABS Shaped Sidewalls: Shaped sidewalls allow for precise edge control and provide a smooth transition on sliders.
Flex Support: Kiteboards are subject to high shock loads. Wakestyle, flat landing, kiteloops and sliders wear heavy on a board. By adding spot reinforcement, Cabrinha have addressed these loads without adding thickness or weight.
Binding Inserts: Cabrinha's stainless steel inserts are custom made to eliminate pull out and spinning.
3D Foot Pads: The new generation foot pads have been redesigned with performance. lightweight and ease of use. The new moulded EVA mid section reduces weight. As well the plate has been canted to give better ergonomics. A new outline provides a solid foot position and integrates the cut EVA grip area. The interal plastic is pre-curved and has the weight greatly reduced.
Wideboy Adjustable Footstrap: The strap has been totally redesigned for the new model. Fit, function, styling and ease of mounting have all been addressed. Traditional footstraps lose their fit as the strap gets bigger or smaller. By adding two side adjustments, the strap stays centred on your foot. The internally moulded Side Curtain EVA elimates any contact with the adjustment webbing no matter how large you make the strap. Even when the strap is in it's smallest setting - there is no added bulk. The outboard tongue can be removed to allow easy mounting of the strap. This feature also allows the strap to be left on the board for travelling.

This is my second board and is such and improvement over my previous board!

It cuts into the water so much better with almost no spray at all!

The footstraps are super comfy and its not in one of these crazy colour schemes that have put me off so many other boards! I can cut upwind easy with this board and my jumps/landings are getting loads better!

 

This is a great kiteboard for people who are just starting out or are looking for an upgrade from their previous board. In the hands of a pro - this would be good as well!
