What we're looking for is a wetsuit that is designed to withstand the toughest of conditions that our sport can throw at us, yet have that in-built flexibility which allows us as a rider to perform the way we want to play! They even look good too!

The Mystic Majestic Front-zip 5/4 wetsuit is packed with features. First and foremost, the rubber in this suit is Yamamoto 39. A premium Japanese limestone neoprene with insane thermal and stretch properties. To improve stretch and heat even more we’ve Knitflex+ and Flaremesh+. Knitflex+ is an outer lining that stretches better and hold less water. Flaremesh+ is our new quick-dry inner lining with a geometrical pattern to improve stretch. Mystic have reinforced the single lined Wind Mesh panels making them sturdier while still reducing wind chill.

It’s also got a front zip construction that gets you in and out of your suit faster and a reinforced panel in the lower back that provides extra warmth to this valuable nerve centre to help you reach your maximum performance potential. It’s super light and super flexible.

Materials:

• Yamamoto 39:
  Yamamoto is an eco-friendly limestone neoprene that is considered one of the best neoprenes in the market. The high stretch ratio and top-notch insulation will let you perform better and more comfortable than ever before.
• Fox Fleece Lining:
  A soft feel interior lining that reflects body heat. Measurably lighter, warmer and more flexible lightweight thermal internal jersey that wicks away moisture and increases warmth. It holds less water enhancing the fast-drying abilities of the fabric. With its superior stretch performance in all directions it’s super suitable for every panel in all of the suit.
• Knit Flex:
  The Knitflex lining offers the highest stretch ratio in all directions, it has a more luxury look and soft touch feeling. This outer lining offers the highest all-directional stretch ratio combined with a luxury look and soft touch feeling.
• Windmesh:
  Closed cell neoprene with one side of fabric lamination. The outside of the mesh neoprene offers a better protection against wind chill.
• Flaremesh:
  The Flaremesh quick dry lining is a special development for Mystic and offers a super soft feeling. The fabric is made with carbon to keep you warmer then ever. This creates a high pile for a soft touch, extra insulation and quick-dry capabilities.
  
  

Construction:

• Fully Glued and Blind-Stitched Water Sealing:
  The edges of the neoprene panels are covered with a highly adhesive, UV resistant contact glue which needs to dry for a few minutes. Then the glue is applied a second time to make it more sticky. Once the corresponding parts of the neoprene edges are put together by hand and then firmly squeezed with an electric pressing tool cm by cm to achieve the high tearing strength, the seams are stitched on the inside with a special blind-stitch sewing machine. A curved needle pokes through the neoprene layer and applies an elastic seam on the outside. By using this technique, the seam is highly tear proof, elastic and completely watertight and provides insulation and comfort.

  High durable taping used inside the suit to avoid leaking and keep it flexible and warm.

Features:

• Front-Zip Entry:  Positioned on the front of the wetsuit, this construction provides an easy entry. Providing much more stretch for your back allowing for more freedom of movement.
• PK Zip - Featuring a strong waterproof zipper.
• Aquaflush:
  Perforated neoprene that allows water to exit the suit, preventing the leg cuffs from filling up with water.
• Non-Slip Cuffs:
  A silicon print located inside the cuff, to keep your cuffs in position and prevent water from coming in.
• Key Pocket: Internal nylon key pocket, located on the inside of the suit.
• Hex-Tech Knee Pad:
  Kneepads made using highly durable materials, which have tightly woven fibres for better scratch prevention. Complete with ergonomic shaping designed to extend the life of the wetsuit and protect the knees while punching through the waves.
• Separate Velcro Leg Straps: For an even tighter seal. If needed the velcro loop avoids any intrusion of water by perfect adjustment. In the unlikely case that the loop releases on the water it can not get lost due to its unique construction. Of course the Velcro Loop can be removed easily if not needed.

How does a wetsuit work?
A wetsuit creates a barrier against the elements utilizing the insulating properties of closed cell neoprene. Neoprene is a closed cell foam made up of thousands of tiny air bubbles known as cells. The air within the cells creates an insulating barrier which slows down the conduction of heat and cold and allows body heat to be retained.

Neoprene:
The thickness of the neoprene utilized in a wetsuit will determine its warmth and flexibility.  A thick wetsuit provides a lot of insulation but can inhibit flexibility. A thin wetsuit will be very flexible but can inhibit insulation. The key is to get the right combination of warmth and flexibility so the wetsuit will not only keep you warm, but provide maximum flexibility as well.

What is a steamer wetsuit ? 
A 'Steamer' is a wetsuit with sealed seams, usually achieved by blind stitching. This stops the majority of cold water from re-entering the suit once your body has initially heated it up. Winter wetsuits are steamers typically with a 5mm body and legs for warmth and 3mm arms for manoeuvrability.
