Dutch Buggy Championships IJmuiderslag

Last season was plagued with bad weather during all planned races so had cancel many races.

Now, the first race for the 2017-2018 Dutch kitebuggy championship was due to take place and again had terrible weather with rain and a completely drowned beach at IJmuiden.

Saint Peter Ording, 2nd run of the 17/18 German Buggy Championship first runs were cancelled due to bad weather so these  were the first races for the season 17/18.

The prediction of the weather wasn’t the best, but we have ridden already 4 races this weekend. The weather was foggy and cold. The wind conditions were really difficult and different on the race course.

Dutch Buggy Championships - Les Hemmes

Les Hemmes beach in Northern France near Calais is kitebuggy paradise.

It is probably the largest and widest beach in Europe and ridable with all wind directions.

It is simply the best beach I know and a potential candidate for the 2019 European championship.

Spring Break Buggy Blast (SBBB)

Megan Edwards knew nothing about buggies until she dropped in on Ivanpah's cracked, dusty and dry lakebed.

Kite buggiers from around the globe gathered near Primm for the tenth annual Spring Break Buggy Blast, an event that regularly persuades people from as far away as New Zealand and Argentina to make a yearly pilgrimage to the cracked and dusty surface of the Ivanpah dry lakebed in Nevada.

Peter Lynn Phantom

Powerkiteshop Riders Dan Eaton and mJohn Eaton since August 2003 have been seen flying an early prototype of the new Peter Lynn Phantom. Designed primarily for buggying, landboarding and snow kiting.

Since August 2003 Dan and mJohn have been putting them through their paces flying the 6m, 9m, 12m and 16m versions on both landboards and buggies and despite their enormous sizes they are super quick yet very easy to use.

Peter Lynn Guerilla II Flight Test

After a variable wind weekend - a flight test with the new Peter Lynn Guerilla II showed us how versatile this kite was with us managing to use it for kitesurfing, buggying and kitelandboarding!

This kite is really good in the gusty conditions we had today, but despite this turns very quick for its size and compared to other depowerable foil kites on the day turns quicker but doesn't accelerate quite as quick with no luffing. Improvements on it's predecessor also includes personalised bar pressure that can be obtained by using the two different attachment points on the wingtips. 

Power Kiting in Portugal

Knowing absolutely nothing of this region of Europe it seemed like a good idea to find out a little before descending upon their second city.

It’s actually the home of vintage port and the world famous explorer Vasco Da Gamma and we guessed that was all the cultural information we needed.

Rebble on a Training Day

Powerkiteshop Instructors have recently added the new Peter Lynn Rebble to their selection of kites to use for training purposes. 

Together with its easy handling and stable characteristics - course fliers were able to use it for both their Power Kiting and Kite Buggying stages of the course and were able to get upwind easier than with other kites being used on the day.

Kitelandboarding for the King!

Grouped together in a darkened waiting area - a lonely airport attendant decides to start a conversation, "So where are you flying out to?", "Amman, Jordan" I replied. "Holiday or business?" "It's the King's birthday and he has invited a few of his friends over and we are putting on a show" "Wow! What are you doing?" "Flying kites" I replied coyly.

Then I realised what I'd said. At last, Kites are cool, so cool and good to watch that you can be invited around the world by supporters or even Kings to see them, times are changing!

New Peter Lynn Competition XR Buggy

The new competition XR is a heavy-duty version of the standard competition buggy. Made using thicker tubes and stronger connections!

The standard seat has been upgraded from simple webbing to a fully adjustable version made from strong-coated fabric and is equipped with a lower back support. The riding position can now be changed for optimum comfort.

New Flexifoil Blade 3

After much speculation, we can now confirm that the third generation in the legendary Blade series will be coming soon. 

The Blade III is the ultimate in ram-air inflated traction kites, offering excellent stability coupled with big lift for land, snow or water use. Particularly ideal for snow kiting, the Blade III is available as a four line kite with handles or a four line kite with Variable Power System (VPS). It can also be flown as a two line kite with bar.
