Powerkiteshop celebrates 25 Years!

As Powerkiteshop approaches its 25th anniversary in 2025, we reflect on a remarkable journey that has spanned not just two and a half decades, but four!

These are decades performed with passion, innovation, and unforgettable experiences in a world of kites from as far back as the 1980's.

In the 1980s, we were exploring the world of power kiting, learning new skills and techniques. We were building our own kites to pull us across fields, beaches and into the air.

In the 90's the passion led us to share knowledge and enthusiasm with others, a step that would progress into organizing large-scale kite demonstrations and performing at major events to captivate audiences across the globe.

Public kite festivals or private corporate events, the performances were becoming a highlight at major gatherings with invitations to perform around the world, including royal and presidential inaugurations. The team had the honour of showcasing kiting in all of its variations and became the foundation upon which the business was built.

Fast forward to 2000 and Powerkiteshop was officially established.

As founders we were uniquely positioned to create a company that would offer not only kites and associated equipment but also offer expert advice, support and show our true passion for kiting.
