Medium Rocker: Medium rocker boards allow for upwind performance, hold an edge well and are typically forgiving in choppy conditions. Suited for riders of all levels.

Stiff Flex: Stiffer flex gives the board better performance and pop and are better suited to freestyle / new school riding. It's direct feel will allow for a more snappy feeling and react quicker to rider input.

Double Concave: Combining more than one type of concave, this setup allows for super smooth edge transitions whilst still maintaining your speed.

Channel Tips: Channels help direct the water flow around the tips of the board and the fins reducing overall drag of the board in the water allowing for easier use of the board in light or marginal conditions. Channels also provides enough grip to allow you to ride smaller fins or even finless for hitting kickers and sliders.

Wakestyle: Wakestyle boards tend to be stiff allowing them to create pop with very little lift from the kite allowing you to perform unhooked manoeuvres and the ability to ride wake parks and rails with a predictable riding style.

Product Description

You throw the sickest transitions and grind the gnarliest logs, docks and water features. Your board needs to edge hard, go big and take a beating. Core have built that and more into the Bolt 4. An easy-fix, super durable, boot only stylin’ machine for your high-flying adventures.

Experience next-level park performance with its custom wakestyle flex and improved hull. The heavy duty Cartan carbon fibre build process delivers outstanding wakestyle flex properties; encouraging good flex when gybing, for example; and eliminating bad flex on hard impacts. Core have also inserted two extra full-length channels to increase grip and speed and beveled all of them so you won’t catch an edge on your favourite box or rail.

The Bolt 4 debuts unique top and bottom rails that improve riding comfort and performance. Core have beveled the top deck between the footpads by approximately 2mm in thickness, and the edge receives a new 60/40 tucked-under rail between the pads that transitions into a flat box rail at the tips.

The Katana Channels also give you the perfect combo between flex and stiffness. You’ll notice that continuation of the same contours of the bottom tip channel into the top deck, which now resembles a Katana sword. The new contours add tip stiffness to better store and release your energy generated when loading the edge.

The Bolt 4 is rail ready. Ready to grind just about any rail, box or obstacle you find in your travels. Its adamantine wakestyle construction, bombproof boot inserts, and unique snowboard-like base may even launch you into stardom. Bolt 3 with Pro Fix Grindbase. Cartan Full Carbon Construction:

Each layer of the laminate structure is made of carbon fibre, the entire area – top and bottom. CARTAN® high-performance carbon was specifically and exclusively designed for CORE and CARVED. In contrast to conventional carbon fibres the CARTAN® carbon fibre weave holds the fibres in a performance maximizing 30 degree angle. The result is huge flex properties making take offs both simple and effective. The exclusive use of CARTAN® high-performance carbon allows us to significantly reduce the thickness of all Fusions. The resulting thin, slightly burred edge allows for precise jumps and relaxed carving.

Technology Approved By Carved:

The Fusion development team worked hand in hand with the perfectionists from CARVED, decades of experience in the construction of surfing and kite boards therefore flowed into the Fusion series.

From the choice of bottom curve to the meticulously tuned flex design - each board size has been individually developed. This continuous transfer of knowledge was especially evident in the materials used.

Complex Diamond 3D Shape:

Complex diamond-shaped cut-outs have been milled into the underlying wood core.

This extra CORE effort is not without reason; on the one hand the complex surface structure reduces the weight, on the other hand, the resultant and intelligently arranged crosses increase the torsional rigidity of all Fusion boards.

Together with the ultra-thin outside edges, the ‘Diamond 3D Shape’ provides the perfect combination of flex and stiffness - two technically disparate elements that only the world's best shapers can combine successfully.

3D Wood Core:
Naturally dynamic. The CNC milled, long grained, Paulownia wood core gives the Bolt 3 unmatched dimensional stability, excellent decay resistance and its powerful character.

Multi-Channels:
Extreme grip even without fins. We added more channels and beefed up the remaining ones. More channels increase lateral resistance especially when finless. And deeper channels improve board speed by reducing the wetted surface area and thereby reducing hydrodynamic drag. The channels are added for a little low-speed lateral slippage, so botched landings are more forgiving.

V-Shaped Keel:
Inspired by the legendary handling of deep Vee powerboats in rough waters, we added progressive V-shaped keels to each tip leaving the area between the boots nice and flat. The design eats chop and delivers a surprisingly comfortable ride.

Vario Rails:
Vario Rails are a new feature to the Bolt 4. It's 9mm thick rails near to the middle of the board reduce to 3mm on the tips giving you better control overall as you power up.

Pro Rocker:
The Bolt 4 features a progressive freestyle rocker that is most pronounced in the middle. Board curvature is then reduced towards the tips. Individual flex patterns are built into each board size to lock in the best performance possible. Without giving away our secrets, good flex and bad (aka negative rocker) flex is managed by varying the lamination thicknesses during production. A super hard landing, for example, can create a negative rocker between your feet. We worked very hard to eliminate bad flex, so those rock hard landings are easier to stick. Not to worry, the Bolt 4 is still deliciously fun when you are not “in training” mode. Go hard. Or easy. Either way, you’ll love it.

Pro Fix Grindbase:
The snowboard inspired base. The waxy surface you feel on the new Bolt 4 is high-modulus polyethylene, a material with superior sliding properties especially over rails, ramps, and other water features. And just like snowboards, scratches and dings can be quickly repaired with any PTEX candle as long as the gouge has not penetrated the Pro Fix Grindbase and damaged the core.

Rail Ready Base:
Built for the slickest sliders. The channels are beveled and countersunk between the boots to create a perfect sliding platform.

Boot Tough Inserts:
Boots only for this baby. Heavy-duty, stainless steel, V4A thread inserts are laminated into a massively reinforced base plate deep within the board. And laminated again in targeted areas to be sure. The boot inserts provide three different stance options.
