Description

The Duotone Neo D/LAB, is at the pinnacle of wave kite innovation and performance. Engineered with cutting-edge Aluula D/TX and Trinity TX materials, this kite represents the most refined wave kite, designed for unmatched precision and control on the water.

The Neo D/LAB sets the standard with best-in-class drift, offering ultimate wave freedom. Experience ultra-smooth and responsive handling that allows for outstanding steering response, making it the ideal choice for riders who demand the very best. With the maximum wind range in the Neo line, this kite is versatile enough to excel across various conditions.

One of the key advancements of the Neo D/LAB is its sharper steering response, achieved through the incorporation of Aluula D/TX in the leading edge. This revolutionary material reduces weight while significantly increasing stiffness, allowing for an immediate transfer of steering input to the kite. The result is noticeably quicker and more direct turning, which is crucial for reactive surfing in tight sections. Subtle refinements to the arc shape and sweep angle also enhance down-the-line drive. These changes shift the kite’s position further forward in the wind window, keeping it actively engaged and pulling when riding slack lines. This design offers smoother flow and consistent forward drive on fast wave faces, elevating your surfing experience. Stability is further enhanced with improved drift and depower control. The combination of structural stiffness and aerodynamic refinement allows the kite to hold its shape when depowered, reducing deformation and flutter.

This results in a cleaner and more controllable drift, particularly in offshore or gusty conditions. Furthermore, the increased torsional stiffness provided by Aluula D/TX minimizes unwanted flex in the leading edge during aggressive input. This leads to a crisper, more predictable steering feel, allowing for precise maneuvering, especially under pressure or during hard transitions.

With the Duotone Neo D/LAB, you have the ultimate wave kite at your disposal. Experience unparalleled performance and precision, designed for the most ambitious riders who seek the perfect balance of innovation and control in the waves.

Features
Technology
Aluula Frame Construction Neo D/LAB:

The new fabric in combination with new construction features reduces the weight of the kite by up to 30% compared to standard constructions and depending on the size, which is a considerable saving of up to 1kg, especially when the wind is light.

Elsewhere the construction has been fine-tuned to reduce weight wherever possible, while innovative use of material weaves allows improved turning ability and response.

Modern Trailing Edge Design:

A narrower trailing edge with a lighter combination of materials to reduce wear and to create a slicker kite profile.

Kook Proof Connectors:

The kook proof line connection points prevent accidents by guaranteeing that you cannot accidentally connect your lines incorrectly when rigging your kite.

Double-V Pigtails:

These pigtails distribute the load of the line connections to the kite, minimizing the risk of fatigue, making the kite less prone to distortion and helps it to steer more smoothly.

Load Distribution Panels:

As kite geometry improves, the canopy must continue to resist increasing forces. To spread these forces, Load-Distribution-Panels are used, holding the kite’s shape even under the most extreme loads.

In practice this gives a smoother and more consistent performance from the kite in any riding situation.

Anti-Snag:

The Anti Snag webbing is preventing the lines from tangling around the tip of the kite.

Waterstarts are made easier and safety is increased.

Self-Rescue Handles:

The self-rescue handles on the inside of the wingtips can be easily found in case of an offshore break down.

They provide a good, comfortable grip while sailing back to the shore during a self-rescue manoeuvre.

Fusion Strut:

This construction allows for a controlled distribution of forces between strut and leading edge.

Struts are 100% connected to the leading edge with a flexible Dyneema line, which promotes higher canopy tension and a clean profile.

Control Bar
Duotone Trust Control Bar System:

Riders of all levels, from pros to newcomers, will all gain substantial advantages from the new Duotone Trust Bar system.

Safety - perform all moves with safety leash
Water Start - without swimming
Performance - increased performance due to wider wind range

All kites can be flown with the same bar, just the short line attached in the middle of the leading edge has to be adjusted to the different kite sizes. Instructions will be attached to all bars or upgrades.

Line Length Advisor:

Different styles of riding, different kite models or the kite size can be influencing factors that require different line length.

In order to further increase this synergy effect the 19 and 22 m lines come now on a medium bar (49 / 42 cm) and the 24 and 27m lines on a large bar (53 / 46 cm).

The bar is the riders’ first point of contact with the kite. In order to achieve a maximum in comfort of riding it is essential to match the kite and the riders’ style of riding to the correct line length.

19m (70% Handling / 30% Power)

Super fast and reactive tuning speeds, shorter lines are best for extreme freestyle and crazy kiteloops. They are also excellent for wave riding, where kite turning speed is important. Wakestyle riders like the close connection to the kite too. The disadvantage is you lose some of the low end power.

Fast and reactive turning
Extreme Freestyle, Wakestyle and Waves
Tight, super fast and hard kite loops

22m (60% Handling / 40% Power)

The favourite length for freestyle and waves! These 22m lines are still great for getting lots of speed from the kite, perfect for wave riding and freestyle. Not as extreme as the 19m lines, they still lose a bit of low end power.

Reactive turning
Fast Kite Loops
Great setup for freestyle riders
Best choice for waveriding

24m (50% Handling / 50% Power)

The best choice for an all round length, good turning speed combined with good power make 24m the perfect choice for a lot of riders. Great for freeride, waves and freestyle.

Most Versatile Length
Great for all-round freeriding
Good low end and a good turning speed
Most Versatile Length
High jumps as you can “load” the lines
The recommended size for a one bar quiver

27m (40% Handling / 60% Power)

The extra length means extra power, get a little more range out of your quiver by adding this bar with the longer lines. They are also great for jumping as you can really “load” the lines when you edge and send the kite back through the window.

Enormous Low End Power
Huge Jumps
Lots of Lift

The bar is your first point of contact with the kite, It is the connection between you and your kite and it is important to get it right. And it’s actually an easy formula: The shorter the lines, the more direct and faster the kite turns. The longer the lines, the more power you can generate out of them! Choose a Duotone Trust Bar, and choose the right line set up for your style of riding.
